8 September - Hubbers unite at Rietvlei (in the souf!)

A group of us hubbers will be hitting the trails at Rietvlei Farm in the south of JHB for a lap or three on Saturday.

 

Place: Rietvlei Zoo Farm (http://cyclehub.webs.com/map.htm)

Time: From 7:00. We start at 7:30

Distance: One full lap is about 25km if you do all the bits and pieces.

 

Everybody is welcome and you will have a lot of fun.

 

R25 per rider, helmets are a must if you value your brain!

So zigzags it is then?

 

Imagine slipping and sliding your way along some singletrack until you come to a grinding halt because there is so much mud on your tyres your wheels no longer turn. That's the zigzags in the wet. They've been cut through an occasional vlei area, so its black clay that sticks like glue.

I'm just trying to decide, Mr Min or Spray & Cook as mud repellant on the tires. I still have bad dreams about the 24hr 3 years ago, that mud was not fun...

Does that really work?
