Yes, If you can afford it, thats the better option. But its not a fair comparison.

Then you have to look at all bikes in the 15k range....

Infinity loop......

For 15k you can look at the Scott Scale Elite 29er (iirc) that costs 12k. I looked at it a while ago and it's not a bad bike at all.

Full XT, Rock Shox Reba. Elixir 3 brakes (admittedly not my favourite) and it weighs 11.5kg.

like I said as well, at 15k, there are other good options besides the Merida...

And yes, considered 29er?

in the end, decide on a budget for the best frame+forks. and get the best bits with it,

whatever you buy now, you will upgrade the extra bits, it's a itch thats difficult to ignore.

HAHA yes the only thing thats gonna make it easier for me is if I can get a 15k bike for 12k lol

First 10k, now 15k... soon you will be looking at 20k :whistling:

My opinion on the first 3 bikes, quite a few people say that merida frame is the best, I disagree there.

Merida TFS can be compared to the GT avalanche frame, heavier and slightly more relaxed geometry.

Zaskar is more equivalent to the Merida HFS - lighter and more race like geometry.

Yeah well, if you're upping it to the 15k bracket, some of the Zaskar 29ers falls below that as well... seeing that it's a cousin of one of your original options. Just a thought.
