cyclingfiend Posted September 24, 2012 Share How many riders did SA send? 118 Jacques Janse Van Rensburg (South Africa) DNF Jay Robert Thomson (South Africa) DNF Reinardt Janse Van Rensburg (South Africa) Sadly, for all the good intentions that we hear about, one cannot help but reminisce about the "good old days" when giving up was not on the agenda - I remember well when David George finished in the final quite small bunch whilst his team-mates - can't remember them all but the likes of Kannemayer, Perry, etc., destroyed themselves to get him there but still finished in their own right, exciting times!. We don't seem to have had much to talk about of the elite men's Worlds for quite a few years now. Has the rest of the worlds men got so much better and left SA behind?
