Some questions around the Shimano range:

 

 

So I understand it as SLX, XT then XTR.

and well something like a brake:

 

Shimano Deore M595 is a lower end unit compared to Shimano SLX M666 not just because of SLX label, but because of the M595 compared to M666,

 

Now the question: the word Deore, it is being included in a M595 brake label, the price actually implies the Deore is a lower range, not only the M label.

 

And then there is the Saint designation.

 

If I look at Shimano site:

 

XTR

New Saint

Saint

Deore XT

SLX

Deore

 

OT: has anyone found a BB92 press fit BB/Shimano, found them on SRAM.

New Saint = M8..

Saint = M8..

Deore XT = M7..

SLX = M6..

Deore = M5..

 

And then eg XT M780 is newer than M770 etc
