awesme Posted October 13, 2012 Posted October 13, 2012 Plan is Carbon Bars, Alu Stem and Carbon Seat Post. I'm leaning towards Ritchey. G
TheV Posted October 13, 2012 Posted October 13, 2012 (edited) In terms of Stems and Posts, esp for MTB'ing, the is no question, Thompson engineering and finish is by far superior. Easton Haven Carbon Bar and Carbon Post, Haven Alu Stem - that's the way to go i.m.h.o Edited October 13, 2012 by TheV
awesme Posted October 13, 2012 Author Posted October 13, 2012 (edited) Hi V I want to keep the 3 items the same, so that implies Thomson rather then... So I'm looking at: Option #1Stem: http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=8570 +http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=76069 (Red) Handle Bars:(HB-E102): http://bikethomson.com/thomsonhandlebars/mtb/ Seat Post:(SP-M106): http://bikethomson.com/seatposts/masterpiece/ Option #2Stem: http://www.ritcheylogic.com/dyn_prodfamily.php?k=599985 Handle Bars: http://www.ritcheylogic.com/dyn_prodfamily.php?k=599985 Seat Post: http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=74062 My Bar caps (http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=147) and seat post clamp's going to be Hope, Red (will match nicely with my Hope Evo2 Hubs): Hope Seat Clamp & Bolt - 31.8mmJust need to find out what size clamp I need. Caerus Posted October 13, 2012 Posted October 13, 2012 I'll +1 what the V said, Thompson Seatpost, Stem and Easton bars
TheV Posted October 13, 2012 Posted October 13, 2012 (edited) You can keep ALL items the same and get the HAVEN CARBON BARS + HAVEN CARBOB POST, and THEN THE HAVEN ALU STEM..... dude, just get this... it's the best... The 2nd best option is the THOMPSON Seat Clamp, Thompson Stem, Thompson Post and Haven carbon bars.... Edited October 13, 2012 by TheV
GoLefty!! Posted October 13, 2012 Posted October 13, 2012 Ritchey. The stem clamp is better for carbon bars.
