Bike Rack on Golf VI

Does anyone drive a VW golf 6 (VI) TSI and have a rear mounted bike rack. Looking to buy one and get mixed advise on what fits and what doesn't. any advice would be appreciated.

Hey Gordonza, a quick visit to the local Thule shop and they will sort you out.

There's a thule shop in Woodmead, another in Clearwater. They also have a website - google them perhaps?

I used the Woodmead shop the other day, they were helpful and they have many good references.

Get a Saris Bones, It's stable and there's no way the bike can scratch the car unlike the Thule. Bones also works well with cars that have spoilers where Thule does not.

Engine - No. Car Model - Yes! The Gti has a spoiler that sticks out more than the spoiler on the tsi so a boot rack that fits on a tsi won't always work on a gti, hence the model

Why not look at VW's Logo roofrack. Similiar to Thule Pro- Ride with some cool wheel slots.

I have a thule 9104 rack that will fit perfectly on your Golf. Selling it for R800.00

 

Had it on a Toyota Auris, and it worked perfectly even with 3 bikes on.
