yes you *** and betaal for everything... decided this CRC is not a good idea to be honest.. you wait forever and dont save that much..

If you are in a rush for something then DHL or find locally, if not then CRC, save money (especially with the sales) and wait unless you can find it locally for similar price. I have yet to have something not arrive from CRC via parcelforce and CRC also have the facility where you can contact them for non delivery where they will resend or money back.

So there is no reason to ***, unless you do not know what you are doing or getting into with shopping online overseas whistling.gif

I needed a shifter before this weekend. Ordered it on Tues 10am last week, arrived Friday afternoon. Can't fault it.

Did you take the R99 shipping option?

Ordered a chain and cassette on the 16th. Hasn't arrived yet but it does state 5 to 8 working days.

I put through a R 4,000 order last Friday around 3pm and choose standard delivery which was free because my order was over R 2,000. I got a call and email from DHL on Tuesday, paid the VAT the same time and my parcel was delivered yesterday (Wed).

5 days in total on standard delivery and if you consider there was a weekend in the middle. That's what i call service!!

Hi there

Which option is this from CRC, the normal standard one, or did you change the option at the delivery drop down, Place order about the 19th if I recall, still waiting.

FWIW

Build up a basket in CRC (with ZAR as currency selected), took total x 1.1 (their normal miss calculation) X 1.14 to add VAT + R90 Customs clearance.

Build up same basket via local online LBS shop, with their R95 door to door delivery, R5 difference on a R3K basket.

Will always do basket for both, where the dif is this small will go with LBS, If I wanted it urgent, then CRC+DHL is def faster, does cost a bit more though, but then you pay for speed.

Ive been waiting for 12 days now for the order to arrive. Obviously untracked.

Being a chain and cassette do you guys think it's possible that the items are actually at the post office counter or should I wait a bit longer?

It could very well be there already. I know Pta's SAPO people were striking the other day, but they've started working again afaik.

Hi G, i just took the standard option, i didn't change anything. I am not sure if they have changed their delivery policy but i know a year or 2 back, Amazon were having a problem with SA deliveries and so changed to courier and since then, have minimised their problems.

Have you used your tracking number and checked it?

Thanks

Will take a drive to the PO during lunch.

The R99 shipping option doesn't give you a tracking number.

They don't give you a tracking number on your confirmation email but if you log on to their site and go into "my account". There is an option to track your order and from there, a tracking number is given. I hope you come right.

Unfortunately not. I see it was shipped with Royal Mail International.

Popped in at the PO and nothing there yet. Will give it another week. Not urgent.

Have the same issue, I contacted CRC and if it is not here in 15 working days then you should let them know. I spoke to the PO here and they have no parcels entering the country under my name or for my address. So if seems Royal Mail is where the balls up is occurring.

Just to let you know, world wide seems to be on a go slow. I ordered stuff from China on 11 September and it arrived this morning. That's almost 7 weeks! Have also ordered from the USA on 5 October (with tracking) and it is still not in the country!!

Fortunately am in no rush as are items for a build have yet to start.
