I'm looking for a online shop to buy some Fox mtb clothing. Buycycle is out of stock the whole time....

I ride with these and these. The former is excellent value for money, the latter is oh-so-nice.

Thanks, I'm looking for the Fox Ranger but as you can see, no stock in most sizes :cursing:

Does Buycycle actually stock items or do they source per order.?

So out of stock could mean that the distributors are out of stock too.

Why do you wear baggies over bib shorts? What is the reason for the baggies?

My take is that baggies are a fashion thing. You either like it or you dislike it. I have not heard of a compelling argument for or against it. By the way I have both and sometimes just enjoy riding with baggies when I feel like a slow relaxing ride. But baggies over bib shorts ? That extra thin layer of cloth over bib shorts is not going to make any difference when you wipe out.If you want baggies , get a decent pair as suggested herein above..

...in the case of most MTB baggies on sale... you may have a point (although an extra layer is still an extra layer).

But when it comes to baggies like the TLD Moto, Sprint, or equivalents from other brands, the fabric makes a huge difference it in terms of abrasion.

Ever seen someone on a 150mm trail bike wearing lycra?

Afraid I have, had a mate who had a 150mm DH bike circa 1997 with a triple ring crank and rode with us on it...and usually beat me up the hills

Yep, I've crashed with my Dakine Synclines (the ones pictured in Wil6's post) and got off with much less damage to the skin on my thigh than I would have wearing lycra.

Importantly, one of the key "protection" elements is having two layers which can move independently from each other, eliminating a surprising amount of friction in the process. Lycra offers practically *nothing* in terms of protection.

Oh, and lycra looks crap. I wore it for 20 years, enough is enough

Ummmmmm....... most (decent) baggies are made from pretty durable fabric, and when you fall at least they slide over the bibs reducing the chance of getting serious roasties... most lycra bibs just tear

Hey Martin, What do you make of the Dakine syncline(your latter) is it worth the R1400, i tried a pair on and noticed the liner is not removable. Also it does not have the rear yoke.

Are they still worth it?

theres a fox shop in shopping centre hell (century city) in CT

You might come right with the attack Q4 shorts at the fox store in Canal walk, i myself was actually looking for the attack Ultra shorts... the store only has the Attack Q4 shorts in orange and green at the moment. I Dont think they will be getting much stock though. Has something to do with retail stores like Edgars and Woolworths etc setting new limits for minimum order quantities, which the LBS cannot do.

send me a mail and i'll send you a a list of what the FOX store can get you from their head office.
