I remember more than a decade ago (Perhaps much longer) when the elite men traversed the Prins Albert pass during an Epic stage there was not a single South African rides in the leading bunch . Every magazine lamented this.Roll forward to 2026 and we had a number of Saffas dictating the pace on very steep clinbs.As for Matt, he is just on a next level.Congratulations to Matt and Tritan.It is fantastic to have a South African team at the top the elites. .

Absolutely correct. In my case an unexpected heart related condition surfaced after 38 years of cycling.Thankfully an ebike allowes me to carry on cycling.

Time for the organisers to consider moving this popular event event to a cooler month.
