I am sorry to do this on this forum but I am desperate. I bought a BMW a few years ago and financed it through BMW finance. When the said vehicle was paid up I asked for the reg. papers to be sent to me so that I could transfer into my name and sell out of hand as BMW offered a very poor trade in on the car. I was told that they could not send direct to me but had to send to Pavilion at the Waterfront etc etc. This would take 6 weeks. I waited and nothing arrived and I had a buyer for the car. Well I lost this buyer as he could not wait. The problem is now that I have lost 3 buyers in all and of course whatever value the vehicle has lost of the time of my struggles. <?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Wait for it.

I have been trying to get the papers for 18 months now. I finally decided to go and see the local dealership principle from where I bought the car. I gave him a short version of what had happened and then said that I wanted to make my problem his as I wanted it sorted out. His answer was that it was not really his problem.

So what I would like to know is: Does anyone have any contact at BMW or BMW Finance that I can contact who have enough pull to help me get this matter sorted out ASAP as I have now decided to give the car away and can only do that once I actually own the vehicle.

Kind regards and thank you in advance

Had some issues with this regards with ABSA.

Take two days off and go sit in their offices untill someone helps you.

Good luck!!

Ya, about the only thing you can do. I've had the same thing with Standard and Wesbank before.

Thanks for that. Problem is that they are all in JHB and me in WC. Maybe I should take IDT and Bike and ride while waiting in their offices.

Anyone want to join me???

No, BMW finance is underwritten by one of the banks. It's them ya need to go hound. A branch office is fine. Someone there can help, you just gotta bulldoze your way to someone who will.

Which departments have you spoken to?  BMW SA is in Midrand around the corner from our offices.

If you can - you can call the numbers :  client service or financials and arrange and I will go and collect your paper work and send to you.

Just let me know.

Go to the financial services board & lay a complaint against BMW Finance.

BMW Finance is a division of Wesbank and has nothing to do with BMW SA. Try contacting them on 0861 111 333 and tell the person that the call is recorded for ref purposes, advise them what you need and inform them that should they fail to deliver said docs within a reasonable time that you will have no alternatife but to hold them liable for the financial loss that you might suffer due to their neglagence. Try and get the consultant that you speak to to commit to a date, and make sure that you get their fax and email details and send them a fax and a mail after the conversation confirming the date and the fact that you will hold BMW finance liable for any losses incurred as they have to deliver these papers to you in a reasonable time
