Hi all HUBBERS!!!!

I'm looking to buy a 29er....URGENTLY!!!!

Currently I'm riding riding a Scott Spark 50 Full Suspension, Large frame size, so I'm not sure if i should go for Hardtail or Softail as I'm used to softail riding.

Please send me some options to look at, budget R20k.

Your help will be much appreciated

BULLSH1T.

Hardtails are hardtails, duallies are duallies. Totally different bikes. There's no way an additional 3" on wheel / tire diameter can equate to the same thing as rear suspension. Yes, it rides over bumps and things easier, but it still has NO SUSPENSION.

In fact, in terms of bump compliance it goes like this, in ascending order:

26" hardtail (low volume tires)

29" hardtail (low volume tires)

26" hardtail (high volume tires)

29" hardtail (high volume tires)

26" short travel duallie (low volume)

29" short travel duallie (low volume)

26" STD (hi vol)

29" STD (hi vol)

and so on in ascension through the lengths of travel.

29" hardtail is NOT comparable to a duallie, in any way, shape or form.

yup, a few!

...and I liken them to camels. They may have longer legs, and are better for long distance, but a horse handles way better!

I hear you.
