Haha! The tyres on on my GT, then I got a dual so I have not done anything else with the SS! Something to do over Christmas maybe!

correct me if I am wrong, but a shorter spoon would have been better??

edit: for if my tone of voice wasnt right again (RE rouxtjie http://1.1.1.4/bmi/cdn.bikehub.co.za/forum//public/style_emoticons/default/wink.png ) I am just asking to grow my knowledge of this...my general feel and actual results on bike might still be on different tracks..

You are probably right, however I might splash out on something a little better looking/sophisticated sometime!

Like a swiss army knife spoon...!

Dude! Stop it. I can only clean so much coffee off my screen before something goes fizzle inside...

Hi, my name is NINER_boy, and I'm a Ninerd...

And yes, I also have two.

I love these bikes, and as far as I can would ONLY ride Niner's!!!

I have decided gears and suspension are naf. I just did the Wines2Whales adventure on my rigid On-One SS and it's the most fun I have ever had at a stage race. Quicker than nearly everyone uphill (with some vasbyt) and not that much slower down. Very satisfying passing all those R60k s-works and scalpal carbon 29er's on a bike worth less than their front forks.

Once SS gets in your blood you are hooked.

D.I.Y tensioners are really easy to make

Bit of metal bent to the shape that works with your alignment with the chain line and boom it works.

I once had my D.I.Y tensioner keep slipping at Tokai, a stick lying on the floor and some cable ties, a few seconds of creative use of these materials and the damned thing was better than ever .... never broke or dropped a chain with that.

SS is cool and all but can mess up your knees. And where I ride you need all the (granny) gear you can get - up real mountains not old mine heaps.

Bergie .... I often ride up Table Mountain on mine and then also a few times in your neck of the woods too.

But you had a huge advantage over everybody else .... you were riding a On One :)

To second what Rollin said...

I did a sub 5hr Crater cruise marathon, and cut over 40min off my previous time, WITH GEARS!!!

And not in my best form yet.

Next year I am racing the Crater marathon, and aiming for a sub 4h30 time.

LOTSA fun!!!

Hi there Delilah

It is a Niner RIP9, full XX and Formula R1 brakes.

Sorry, not selling this puppy!!!

Shame on you for neglecting a bike like this! It should definitely go to a better home - like mine! devil.gif

Here is my latest LOVE after the dual-sus era...

Hey, I've actually seen you on that bike, just didn't know it. I nearly took out Garden Pavillion's fence with my car, 'cause we don't see many Niners in Potch.
