Hairy Posted November 11, 2012 Share Yo. A very reputable wrench (bike wrench, not wife aka wench) noted that the upgrade its worthy every cent ..... Provided that they also re valve the internals to suit. Omnico would be best to contact as they spent lord of time and money in their worshop getting the ballance right. It won't be cheap though! Musashi Posted November 11, 2012 Share The DT Swiss rear shock was sent back 3 times for repairs (under warrantee) and I got fed up and upgraded to Fox RP23. Recycles in Bellville did the installation. I also turned the rear shock around so a bottle fits easier. Keep in mind that you'll still need the remote for the fork's lock-out. The RP23 is an improvement, but I'd love to get feedback on the Fox CTD rear shock on a Scott Spark 29'r.
Dubber88 Posted November 11, 2012 Share Was wondering when this thread would pop up. Bikeradar's guys tested the Spark 29 RC and even then they changed out the shock and was finally happy with the bike's performance. Ceres Posted November 11, 2012 Share The Fox CTD with remote is available. I was thinking about doing this but man that CTD is expensive.
Musashi Posted November 11, 2012 Share I was thinking about doing this but man that CTD is expensive. That's the truth! I was considering it, but was able to pick up a new RP23 for half the price. Easy decision.
thinktank Posted December 2, 2012 Share Could anyone tell me what the Fox RP23 and Fox CTD remote shocks go for locally. Rear shock just gave out on my Scott Spark PRO. Would like the CTD remote if it doesn't cost me an arm...
splat Posted December 3, 2012 Share Has anyone fitted a Fox RP23 to a Scott Spark 29er and was there a improvement? I think Kevin Evans put a CTD on when he got his 2013 machine not so long ago.
