I used to use an ARB compressor (then sold the truck it was fitted to).

Now use a floor pump and pump like hell. If that doesn't work, I bomb the tyre and that usually works (may take a bomb or two). Best thing to do is put the valve at the bottom or the top and push down on the tyre and then inflate - seems to help the tyre bead seal easier.

But I do miss my compressor.

my experience is if you bomb the tyre then silicone makes balls

I was struggling with the compressor on my american classics & then bombed it. Just a quick 1 second (maybe more like0.75 ,but who's really checking?) then you can do 2 tyres per small bomb (not too sure the grams now)

You can always deflate after a day or 2 & then reinflate again to prevent the tyres from growing balls...

Another "trick" you can try is to wrap a ratchet strap around the center of the tyre once its mounted on the wheel. Then tighten it. As the tyre compresses in the middle it forces the beads out towards the rims.

The reduced volume also means that less air is required to fill the tyre up and push the beads onto the rim.
