Hi,

I need help from fellow hubbers, please. I've bought a Scott Spark Premium with a carbon syncross seatpost. The current seatpost has a setback and I need to replace it with a zero-setback seatpost.

What is the best seatpost to get? I have no idea what to look for. I know carbon is not always lighter/better.

Must I look at another carbon seatpost / Thomson Elite / KCNC Scandium Ti Pro Lite or something else?

Any help will be appreciated.

I just got a Thomson's Elite with my bike - zero setback. (And I've used a setback one on my road bike for ages.) No complaints from me - but I ain't no pro rider...

I am interested in the KCNC. I googled it and it seems that riders complain that clamp mechanism is not performing (saddles are sliding / rails damaged). Anyone with experience of this?

Does having a setback seatpost make that much difference? I see the one on my Ghost is a bit more back than the one on the GT but I dont feel any difference when riding them?

Hi!

Jip! I am riding a small frame, the setup is perfect but my saddle is as forward as I can put it on the set-back seatpost to achieve the setup. This is not ideal (especially on a mtb)if I get a zero set-back seatpost the saddle will be within the correct limits on the seatpost and I will have the correct set-up!
