I'm going to be in the Umkomaas area from the 26th of December. Going to test out Rocky Bay trails, its only 15km from Widenham.

Sweet, I'll drop you a PM. As I'm dragging my bike all the way from Gangsta's Paradise, I'll definitely be riding.

Yip, spent almost every holiday in Umkomaas until about the age of 18 or so.

Hate to be the barrier of bad news, but Rocky Bay trails had been closed indefinite due to the heavy rainfall and damaged tracks. At this stage it is not know when it would be open again! I absolute love that track and hope it is soon!!

If you going to be in Umkomaas Area, take note that you will have the Canonbrae Forrest with about 7-8 km of FAST and technical single track. Word of advice, if you not use to technical ridding, this track will teach you a few lessons!

Hi, im in umkomaas for dec and early jan - keen to do a lot of riding in the area. Can anyone help with info on group rides or where the good rides are. Where is the Canonbrae forest you mentioned and how does one get there?

Thanks

Only see your post now, but I am sure you came right in anyway. Umkomaas is a small town and anybody will be able to assist you with directions. I was in the forest for a few days and seen a few "unknown" cyclist there and presume (hope) you were one of them and enjoyed the forest!whistling.gif
