So what rung of the ladder was the photographer on to take the profile pic of you?!

Well the photographer was standing about 6 steps up on a patio...

This **** all started with "compact frames"!! I am 2,2 and don't even try Mtb cos I can't find a frame,my road bikes are perfect though, all custom Merckx and Colnago!

Man, that's tough - I am 1.95, struggle to find (affordable) bikes that don't look like children's bikes. Clothes is another challenge - I am only 83kg, the average SA XL shirt has the right length, but fits two of me. Same with cycling shirts. It's either tight enough and showing half my stomach or long enough and and as wide as two of me. Buying jeans - finding a 36 length in SA, impossible.

I'm not as tall at a puny 6"2, but asked a really big mate of mine what he rode. He said " I ride a Specialized Carve at the moment as it is 29er and has a size 23 frame. Never been so comfortable. Going to get the Epic Carbon Expert in January as I want something a bit lighter. I highly recommend the Carve in Pro form, and best value."

Might not suit the tallest of you, but could be worth a try.

Edit: he also said he pumps the shocks way up, although I suspect you guys are doing this already.

I'm 1.94 and about 85kg's. Word of advice - find a good a tailor. I have everything tailored from cycling shirts to hoodies. As long as there aren't any graphics down the side it works great.

Oh and Diesel makes jeans in 32 waist and 36 length - if you're prepared to pay.

Stuttafords used to stock 36 length Levi's, haven't seen any for a while.
