Would you also suggest that this rule applies to speed fines? Speeding do cause deaths of innocent people, you know...

Actually thats a good point, your average speeding fine produces the same result in real life as a 2 year doping ban in sports.

 

Most people bitch n moan when they get a fine but pay the fine and still continue speeding (question to all, how many speeding fines have you had in your life?) now if the fine or punishment was seriously more substantial i.e. a life time driving ban i bet that the majority of repeat offenders (speeding) would not speed again.

Unt ja i have had a few speeding fines in my life in ZA, last one was in June this year ZAR400 for 10kph over the limit

 

Touch wood....(tap tap) in nearly10 years not one in switz yet, why?

First offence life bans for people who purposefully dope will be the only realistic deterrent, modern (sic) day humans in general are far to forgiving, in cases like this where fear of a more serious punishment (jail, death, amputation, castration etc...) are not realistic a puny 2 year max (or 4 year for that matter) are a waste of time as a means of deterrent.

No I am not an idiot (note correct spelling, as well as the guts to spell it correctly!), nor am I trying to appear like one.

 

So, pray do tell, what is the cut off point for speed at which it starts to kill? Think carefully now Is it faster than what you can travel on horse back (There was such a speed limit at some point - go read up on your history!)
