The real problem here is there is obviously a buyer somewhere here in Cape Town for these bikes.I do believe the wheel turns and this will come back to him a 1000 times over.

Hi all

Please keep an eye out for a muddy blue and silver Giant Anthem X29 in Harfield Village in Cape Town. Was stolen around 7am on Friday 7 December.

Thank you so much!

Where in Harfield? Also keen to know how the theft happened. I'm in Harfield too....

There is a rumour of a cycle shop in Main Road down Plumstead way who has sold stolen bikes in the past. I don't know which shop it is though but I'm going to try found out.

I will have a look....what do you want me to do when somebody approaches the shop with your bike, besides hitting the person, pay the ransome and wait for your reply????? never been in this position yet, wld like to know....

home of 2nd hand bikes

No, be clever about it. Tell the guy you'll sell it on consignment. Phone the cops and owner and get the bike back to him. Then arrange for a sting op when the thief comes back they can nab him...or the owner can with his van full of guys in balaclavas...er hem.

Added a pic to my original post. Thanks so much for the interest. It was taken out my shed, a wooden structure which they broke into, and pulled over the wall. It was taken between 7am and 8:30am on Friday 7 December morning. I have tire marks on the wall where they pulled it over.

Unfortunately I understand he only keeps a select range of his bikes in the shop after having been caught with around 10 stolen bikes that I am aware of - the rest are stored in his garage out of the way of prying eyes (or so I've been told).
