I think Strava must give the Guys doing it on MTB's extra Incentives, because its much Harder riding those km's on a Mountain Bike.

Yip.

There should be a milestone award for 4000 metres + ascent or something like that.

the whole point of this challange was to get the guys in the northern hemisphere cycling in the cold, 500km in -5 is an achievement. 500km in 26 degree sunshine is average at best. so be a man and double the distance if you want it to be comparable to the poor blokes in the cold countries.

Did you attempt to double the distance it to claim your manhood?

If so, impressive.

I Agree, but our average her in Komatipoort is 40'C. Thats bloody hot. Your sports drink taste like hot kettle water after 5km.

about 503 excluding tomorrow's recovery ride. 190 on mtb rest on road bike.

Do everything on a mtb, then its like riding 1000km. eek.gif

504km all together. 150km +/_- MTB. Will check ascent, its probably a lot because it's all done in JHB... This place is one big hill. Sadly have to do another 110 tomorrow. Legs don't feel nice.

So 1000km on a MTB does not equal 1000km on a road bike.

I was not very good at Maths at school, but 1+1 = 2 I think.
