Some advice on a sale...

A mate has got a bike for sale. I would just like some advice as to what these bikes fetch, as I have seen a huge difference in price on exactly this model.

 

It is a Raleigh RC7000 with carbon fork and rear stays.

Full Ultegra and Fulcrum Racing 3 wheels.

 

Not sure of the year, I would hazard a guess at maybe 2009 or 2010?

 

Any ideas on what he should be asking?

its a 2008 , i had one and sold it for R 10 000 in 09 i think it was .

 

Correction it was much less only paid R10 000 for it . cant remeber what it sold for but ypou should be looking at the R8000 to R 9000 perhaps .

That is a 2006 model. The wheels add some value as the original was specced with Shimano WH550 wheels .

At a push, about R6000. Unfortunately Ultegra 6600 and aluminum Raleighs have minimal resale value

I got an '08 Felt F75 for R6k about 2 years ago, similr specs so I would think less than that.

It is the wheels that add the value. They could go for R2 500 or more on their own.

Should sell reasonably quickly for R5000, not so quickly at R6000 and probably never at R7000.

Some variation depending on the condition and the rest of the components, but that's my guesstimate from the photo and description.
