Hi guys. I need a crank for my SS and I know you can use a standard 3x9 crankset but looking in ordering a Zee crankset with a 36T chainring (only comes in 36T). Will this work or can you suggest anything else? I see everybody runs 32T chainrings on the front.

Look at the new Shimano Deore M615 10speed double, beautiful crank and cheap. With any 2x10 you have the short chainring bolts so easy to slap a 32T SS ring on it and sell the other two new rings. You also get the crank on the outside of the chainring which looks better IMHO.

Have sent Thug PM about his but here goes again. Also not sure if this is the correct thread but since we are here........

How much of the lugs did you remove? Up to the raised part of the middle ring or just below bolthole of large ring? I am inclined to rather cut less off and file away excess, less chance of a undeniable stuff-up.
