Looks like a 'breakaway' frame...?

 

I doubt it's carbon but a split frame indeed .

The Breakaway uses a very different type of "split"

These are S & S couplers that many companies use.

They can be retrofitted to any steel frame.

 

The carbon one you were asking about.

The S & S couplers won't work on carbon.

Agreed - didn't mean it was carbon specifically. Just noticed the couplers. Didn't realise they wouldn't work with carbon. Learn something every day :thumbup:
