Nofearnofun Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 Bought an XO groupset on Monday, installed and tested on Wednesday, sold the brakes yesterday, XT are arriving on Monday I have used elixir 5's and didn't enjoy them. The XO felt exactly the same so they got flogged. My stumpy has SLX and they just tick the right box's for me. Different strokes hey...

Also had Avid brakes, didn't like them. Went Shimano, loving them. I know people who've done the reverse.

Take it XT will get sold Tuesday... they are the worst brakes I have ever owned, had them for 2 rides. Hope for me from now on.

The expand so much that I loose all breaking halfway down my runs. Weigh about 100kg and bike 16kg with 203mm rotors, so ja they got hammered,haha. Hope M4's eats up everything i throw at it.
