Unlikely.

It's a sprinters' feast today.

Too flat I reckon.

A potential snooze fest... Apart from the beautiful French countryside and coastline which is always a treat.

So Daryl needs to finish at the same/similar time as the winners and 10 places ahead of Gerrans to snatch the yellow jersey.

Any chance of this happening, taking into account the fact that generally in a sprint finish Daryl should fare better against Cav & Greipel than Gerrans...

How does the new positioning system work? It was always that if you're ahead in position and just finish in the same bunch (even last) you keep your position.

The last 20 kms are always intense.

Don't blink.

Watch out for Lotto's speed train.

If on the same time, count back determines position by adding the sum of finishing positions on all stages. At the moment Daryl is 41 and Gerrans 32

Daryl - 11+8+22 = 41

Gerrans - 15+16+1 = 32

Aaaah, the SUM of total finishes.

Subtle.

Thanx, dracs.

More confused now thanks?

What's the numbers? Their finishing position?

Basically all you need to know is that to take yellow, Daryl must finish 10 places ahead of Gerrans today ;)

yes! Its not that complicated - time rules, and if riders can't be separated on time then the sum of their finishing positions on stages separates them.

Ja but he's all about the team - I don't think he had much left after his lead out sprint, but at that point he maybe forgot about the subsequent yellow possibilities... sure he could have pushed on just a little after Gerrans kicked

Read that Cav's got flu and is on antibiotics....I also once saw Lance Armstrong looking sick an it ended up in "The Look".
