How much difference in the price does it make when customs add their share when ordering from cyclingjersey.net?

Also how long did your stuff take to arive?

I feel like taking the plunge, really hope the quality is ok, I don't feel like dishing out 1.5K on a pair of bib shorts, where you can almost buy an entire wardrobe from this site at that price.

Thanks in advance for any advice regarding the above

My bad; I posted the alibaba outlet their private site is http://www.cyclingbox.com/

*But buying more than ten at a time makes the price dramatically cheaper- I reckon we should organised a group buy or something

Do you get charged customs and VAT on this site or are they market as "gifts" as many of the Chinese sites do?

Any more feedback from okes who bought from these sites recently?

I'm looking into it now, and would appreciate some advice on the sizing? How does it compare to, for eg, Anatomic and First Ascent stuff? If I'm a medium in those 2 brands, will I be a medium or large on the Chinese sizing?

Thanks

I bought from them and won't do it again. Took 4 months to get here due to SA Post Office, some kit missing, shirts too small and quality was crap.

Has anybody bought from www.cycling-monton.com? I've only bought from www.cobocyling.com and I'm pretty happy with their products but the monton site has so much more kits available. Just wanted to know how their quality compares to cobocycling/cyclingjersey.net?

I also have no issues with their quality..as stated before some are really way better than local stuff! Been using them for around 7 years and goes through a season with no issues!

Which site are you referring to?

Hi,

i just had a look at the monton site and they have got an awesome variety of kit. i have never ordered kit or gear from foreign suppliers before. is it a hazzle, with regard to vat, things getting lost in the post etc. or not really. for that price, you can really stock up on some lekke kit.

I've ordered from www.cobocycling.com and have had no issues at all. Quality is pretty good for the price. I'm still using kits from 2 years back with no issues. They do take a bit long to deliver sometimes upto a month.

I'm still unsure about monton but they have a much larger range.

It's the FIRST time I hear of any complaints on clothes from MONTON (sorry jcza)!!!

My wife and I have been using clothes from Monton for more than 2 years now (I bought some on my visit to China) and was also lucky enough that my friend brought some back for us again (2 or 3 times) while he was in China  we have in total about 30 or 40 sets (shirts, bibs and normal short pants) and also 15 or 20 Winter cycling jackets, arm warmers, leg warmers, shoe covers, head sweat bands, etc...we use them on a daily basis and the chamois are MUCH better than the local stuff...my opinion :whistling: all items we use are of a very good quality and not once have we had a seam come apart or really any other quality issue!

The chamois were normally of a grey colour and nice and thin...some of the last lost came with a orange chamois and a bit thicker...personally I prefer the thinner grey chamois, but the Orange one also works okay.

Unfortunately I can not comment on late deliveries / taking long to deliver, etc.

What I can comment on is that the clothes are normally 1 size bigger than what you would buy in SA...I normally wear a size Medium and always order Large from them...the shirts are fine (I could wear a Medium from them, but prefer to play safe and go for the Large)...on the Bibs / Pants I prefer the Large...fits like a glove!!!

It seams like the other Hubbers don't have any issues with quality, etc. and if you have 2 to 4 months to wait...why not, give it a go!!!

PS - if you are looking at getting some ARM warmers, LEG warmers and LONG winter pants from them...maybe look at a local supply on this as they have been a bit TIGHT squeezed and not the best fit (although some of them fit fine, it might be a better bet not to take a chance)...rather fit them at a local store before you buy as most of the suppliers sizes are different...but the shirts and short pants / bibs from MONTON are awesome!!!
