Are you guys happy with the cost of an entry for this event? We try to keep it down so that it's worth it for the guys that are travelling far to get here.

I thought the cost was very good.

At the moment the event is listed as a "funride" and according to PPA, our partners for this event, we are not allowed to have medals.

What a moronic rule!!!! Not that I care about medals but still.... What could be gained by making rules like that?????

Edit - I would prefer the bottle of wine over a medal though, just think it is a stupid rule

Don't worry about it Skubarra. I'm sure we'll have something sorted for next year.

Maybe that came out a bit too harsh  . But I have done other PPA "funrides" where they gave medals, so maybe its a new rule? Again, I would rather take the bottle of wine

Keep the bottle of wine ... next year I wont have classes the saturday morning, so would be able to enjoy more than just the wacky wine - can't wait :)

Or maybe we are understanding the rule incorrectly meaning that you are not allowed to give medals to 1st, 2nd, 3rd etc. but you are allowed to give everyone that finishes a medal?

It would make more sense, if that's the case

That sounds right to me.

The kids especially would really enjoy having a medal to show off.

Entry fee very reasonable considering how well run the event is and a nice bottle of wine and decent lucky draw prises.

Just for comparison, the Penny pincher series cost a whole whack more than this event and seemed less well organised but not anything to moan about.

Were there official photographers along the routes where we can get prints? Couldn’t remember seeing any flashes blinding me on any of the downhills.
