Calling on you gamers

So I was thinking of selling my Switch with carry case, dock, pro controller and 9 games for a PS4 that comes with 2 controllers - but what about loadshedding? I would need to get a generator to power the PS4 and I do like to live life dangerously 😅

Found my old Arcade games on one of my external HDD's backup. Surprisingly the old MAME emulator that I used on my old Win 7 PC is working on Win 11. Played some of the old games that I used to play when still at school. Space InvadersPinball Action, Rygar, Elevator Action etc. If I saved all the 20c that I used to play these arcade games it would've been quite a sum of money these these days. To quickly waste R1 on games was nothing in those days...in hindsight will I do it again and my answer will definitely a YES

So according to something I read the other day, PS5 sales are doing great - oh and, I believe there's talks about a Nintendo Switch 2?

Last December I was in the USA. At that time the PS5 Slim was just released there. Not being able to even pre-order it yet in SA I bought one over there and brought it back in my onboard luggage. At that time I was using a PS4 Pro with an upgraded SSD and all thought there is not a day and night difference, it does run quite a bit better than a normal PS4. My daughter was nagging me for a TV in her room so I donated mine to her and bought a LG 50" 4k unit for my gaming setup. The difference going from a 4 Pro on a HD screen to a 5 on a 4K screen was massive and worth every cent !

The PS5 Pro was also announced a week or so ago with the release date somewhere in November. It looks like it will be an impressive console. I Won't be buying it thought because it looks like it will have a good price increase over the current model and it won't be much of an upgrade for me unless I get a 8K TV as well.

I'll probably hold onto my Switch for as long as I can (it will be 8 years old this year), but I can understand the hype for the new Switch.

I am so many generations behind with consoles... just not worth the cost for how often I get to play. PS3 and Wii U gathering dust in the living room.

I wouldn't mind something like the ROG Ally. With a docking station, I could use it in place of the current PC in the exercise room (for Rouvy, TrainingPeaks Virtual, Netflix/music), and of course to play games that don't need the more powerful GPU in my desktop PC.

Ja, being an Asus fan, the ROG Ally has been on my radar for the past few months, although my budget doesn't agree with the price of it at the moment 😛 . My laptop is an Asus and I am however quite a fan of the brand.

My Mrs recently downloaded The Sims 4 on my desktop and the way I see it, if she can make further use of my PC then why not 🙃
