If you are new to longer distance races the 60km event is perfect for you!. Lekker flat, with little technical. Race has a nice relaxed vibe. Great morning out.

Scotty - I'm keen but one question....

Does the course go through that famous 500m slush pit?

Organisers of races in this area always insert that bearing eating mud suck pile of destruction under the guise of making it a "real" mountain bike race.

It it's in I'm out - I've ridden it in 4 or 5 races and don't appear to be "real" mountain biker material!

Doubt it but will find out from Clint, they are still finalizing the route but i know they will include brides.

 Hot damn - R190 for a 60km!

That's steep if they want guys to support local events. If it's the double lap route, then even less logistics behind this.

Parking was crap at the march hare. What's the contingency plan, it we do decide to part with that amount of cash?

Also, last time the route took riders through the water section about 1km from the finish - trampling hundreds of toads staying in the pond that turned into a mud pool after many feet and wheels rode over them. Not cool  . Will the organisers divert the route this time?

Also entered last week, and was stunned by the entry fee of R190. and then they still sting you for the CC collection fee, so ended paying just over 200 ronds.

I really try support as well as get our club to support local races, especially in the East Rand, but if this is what we gonna be paying then cheers!!!!! people it will be the last time I support Dunblane.

Did 35km as I was a bit sick last week.

Lekker fast, did a sub 1:30 (quick for me). Well marked course, generous spot prizes.

Overall nice morning out.
