Is it a constant creak when you push both drive and non drive side? just one side? Try eliminate bits where it could be coming from - Dirt in the bb seals ,loose chainring bolts and skewers maybe?

more on the drive side

I assume opened cleaned , checked and should have picked up if it needs replacing ?

Ok, so there is your starting point...you probably using external BSA BB? yes? Undo crank(cause you are going to check the bolts anyway) and make sure they did in fact check it and regreased it...if not clean up yourself and give lbs kuk cause they said they did

If it only happens on one particular pedal stroke, left or right...it might be pedals, but doubt it.

what do you do if it is the pedal axles - replace the pedals?

Most can be serviced. Do you have a spare set of pedals to check with?

Make sure to grease the thread when fitting them.

I had a pedalling only creak noise on my bike that just would not go away, even after the elimination of the following areas: seatpost, seatpost clamp, seat clamp, saddle rails, QR's, BB replaced, copper slip on chainring bolts, torqued cassette lock ring correctly etc.

In the end I took my pedals out, put copperslip on the thread, install, and the creak was gone.

depends which pedals are they?

What he said, My M505's were the culprits (only found after replacing almost the entire bike - and the M505s are not easy to service) once I replaced them with M530s my creak went bye bye, :-).

Does the creaking happen when you apply pressure to the pedals and crank during acceleration or hard riding? I resolved my "creaking noise" by trial and error like you did standing out of the seat. I inspected the seat rails, BB, QR, actual frame for cracks and cranks bolts and eventually realized that the creaking comes from the cleat mechanism in the pedal. Q20 and no more noise.
