Hi There,

Can you please keep an eye out for my bicycle, it's a blue Peugeot Rapport, Guessing its an 88 model. She is in Mint condition, just had new grips and tyres fitted. The pic attached was taken before I had the grips and tyres fitted.

My Bucky was broken into in hudson street yesterday (in front of origin coffee), with security around. I've only had her for 5 days. The police managed to lift one fingerprint and I'm hoping it belongs to the thief, I have opened a case.

Much Appreciated,

Justin

Good luck mate.

Unfortunately with an old bike like this it is going to be hard to prove that the oke riding it didn't in fact buy it for cheap. Its an old bike as used by many commuters.

Do you have the serial number?

Welcome to the Hub.

Pity your first post isn't under different circumstances

Hope you get your bike back. Keep an eye on Gumtree, OLX and Junkmail. They might try and sell it there.

That the one that was at Woodstock Cycleworks? She is mint. Absolutely perfect. OK, she's probably in Bo Kaap. Mail all the Cash Converters and Cash Crusaders, drop some pics at all the bike shops like Bowmans, Revolution, Cycle Lab, etc. Go to the 2nd hand shops along Main Road, Seapoint. Put up street pole A3s in Bo-Kaap with pics of the bike and offer a reward, maybe

R300.00, which is more than the tikhead will get second hand. And yes, do as Hennie VR says. Sorry for your loss, I hope you get her back soon in as good a condition as she's been. Incidentally, not 1988. 1978.

What time do you rate it was stolen? Yesterday eve I saw a guy riding a metalic blue bike in Hudson across the Strand street intersection musta been between 17h30 and 17h45... we were 4 cars back from the intersection so too far to see distinct details other than that the bike was blue. If that is the time frame I would def agree with Le Turbo, its in Bo Kaap.

Thanks for all the encouragement/advice, I came across the "crime scene" at 15:30. Not sure when the they broke in. Everyone in the surrounds had no clue.

She may be old but her condition is good, here are some more close ups with distinct details (chips and scratches). She also has shimano break levers with new black bar tape which makes her stand out from an old bike.

Thanks again, I'm heading out on the hunt.

Cheers

No serial number unfortunately, only these close ups of when I found her in a garage....

That should be proof enough that it's yours I think. Circulate on Facebook as well as to all the local Cash Converter Crusader stores.

Good luck!
