Jean Biermans won the 2015 36One on a HT Ridley 29" with a Lauf fork beating the course record this weekend. A number of podium winners won these forks. Will be interesting to see who puts them on their bikes..In a race like the 36One - they clearly seem to work!

Had coffee with Jean and the looks and stares the bike got in the 30mins was incredible.

It seems like a piece of kit made exceptionally well for very specific types of riding.

So who is Laufing now ?

That's the most accurate thing said about this "fork"

Certainly far better than the original advertorial

Seems the Ridley is the frame to ride if you want to smash your records on a ride like this.

I was one of the winners, and I'm definitely going to be putting it on my bike.

I'll give some feedback as once I've ridden it for a bit.

They sent me the one tuned for sub 70kg race snakes. I had to send it back with a note saying that I hadn't weighed that Little since I was 14. Still waiting for the replacement.

maybe send them a reminder ... if Shamus has stock in now, they might just have what you are looking for.

an amusing interview  :D

Lauf Forks ~ Innovation from the Frosty North

Very recently, as in like three days ago, I recapped the last portion of the journey Dirty and I made to Iceland last summer. During our last days in Reykjavik we did some riding with a few local followers. And they all rode these funky suspension forks. Like nothing I’d seen before. They’re from a company calledLauf Forks. Naturally we gawked, took pictures, and asked questions. We learned that the design is based on some of the engineering behind certain prosthetic limbs. I considered touching on the design in the recap of the trip, but decided that wouldn’t do it justice. So I caught up with the owner via email. His name is Benedikt Skúlason, and he was more than willing to answer some questions for me.
