OK WHAT ABOUT those who dont use camels,,,,,????????

Sow or staple some Velcro onto your riding shirt in the area you want the can to be.

@ the OP, wouldn't it be better to glue the Velcro strip to your frame instead of using ty raps, tyraps will do more damage to the frame and paint over the long term compared to gom.

Obviously you would need a good quality glue that wont simply wash off with the first bike wash

Clever idea

I have 2 questions:

1) How hot does that cannister get in the sun?

2) What if they knock you off your bike?

You need one of those cars that was used in yesterday's attack on that european oke in bedfordview

Just one thing: you need to test your cannister occasionally to see that it's ok. Also good to know if it's a stream or a spray. Distance, etc. Do it on a wind-free day obviously. Wear eye-protection/other stuff as you feel necessary.

I might still do that, you could clean the contact adhesive off the frame if needed at a later date with lacquer thinners - not easy though. I did want to first see how the idea worked out and ideally a solution that can be easily removed - that velcro with adhesive backing would be perfect for the frame as it is easier to remove.

Good idea - have you ever had to use it against a mugger?

Not yet , hope never but it feels empowering when I ride past dodgy people that I can be spraying in faces in an instant, I seriously think having such quick access to pepper spray will surprise even the old school criminals, hahaha. There is no fumbling you just rip it off and bust loose with the misery.

Ja test for spray distance as well - no time in the moment when you need it. Funny things happens when you test it - one tiny little misty droplet in the eyes is horrible, as is getting it on your hands and then taking a leak - it really does burn like a mutha fuga.

Not sure what mist would be used for , maybe crowd control - stream is definitely the answer for bikes though, has a good few meters of reasonably accurate range.

I went for bigger rather than smaller(there is a tiny one, still potent though) - more capacity and easier to hold and operate.

My Velcro pepper spray thing is still going strong, hasn't even remotely come close to falling off. Haven't had to use it yet but it's there if I need it.

Problem is.. when time comes to use it, there's nothing left! So you have to buy 2 and use one for practising...
