JustinBeswick Posted July 27, 2013 Share Hi all, Seems like many of us had to deal with the frustrations of how closed off and tight Polar are..and how they seemingly forgot that when switching from ProTrainer to their web platform, we'd like to still have our prior data of blood, sweat and tears imported.. I've found a simple and effective solution. (for Windows 7) First, you need to locate your hrm files (hidden from standard search)Follow these steps to locate hrm files and then export to Trainging Peaks if you want:Locate the hrm files on your pc c:/Users/Public/Polar ProTrainer/ [*]copy ONLY hrm files and paste them into a new folder you can easily find e.g. new folder on desktop (I'm not sure about the .pdd files, they're very small but not sure what data they're holding0 [*]Open up Training Peak Device Agent [*]Highlight all hrm files in the new folder you created and drag across to Training Peak Device Agent [*]Click 'save' [*]Your Polar hrm files should now be successfully imported into Training Peaks And if you're wanting to transfer data from Polar Protrainer 5 to web (polarpersonaltrainer) someone's created a java app for you to do this: http://rikara.blogspot.com/2009/04/uploading-old-polar-hrm-data-to-polar.html I've done both, and worked successfully. Hope it helps! Justin Capricorn and Wil6
singletrek Posted July 27, 2013 Share Very good Justin. In defence for Polar, I think that they are actually one of the easiest to work with. And you just proved it also. Jigghead
