Went out cycling this weekend an my friend broke his Raleigh 6.0 rear triangle.

 

He was going into an corner and could not make the turn so he braked really harshly and snap....

I think the frame may have had a bit of a week point there from prior crashes.\

 

Is this damage repairable or will the frame have to be replaced?

Repairable...

 

I just had a frame repaired by Grahame Kidson in New Germany, KZN. Unfortunately this is pretty far away from you :P

True. Send it to potch, fix it, THEN sell it.

Raleigh is not the only brand to have cracked. Right here on the Hub, I have heard of Silverback, Specialized, Giant and even Cervelos that have cracked or broken.
