dual sus 29er options

A mate of mine wants to buy a dual sus 29er xc bike and is looking to spend about R20k on an alloy framed bike. Suggestions?

Thumbs up for the merida! Also consider giant anthem x, pretty good value for money. You only looking at brand new or willing to go used?
