It was a good feeling to contribute something to a cause that is focused on the improvement of cycling safety for any cyclist using the roads where we will see these signs erected, wether it's the training riders or just someone commuting to work or kids riding their bikes.

so here is a challenge from Team Edenglen to all other cycle clubs in the East Rand "BETTER THE 5K WE DONATED" and lets see all our training routes with these signs erected on them.

Erm!!!!! Bedforview Cycling Club; Edenvale pedlers; Tour Da Frans; are you guys listening.

If there is anything else we can do "Shaunh" give us a shout

Here's an idea ........... couldn't CSA add a R10.00 levy onto each licence and this money then be made available for these type of campaigns.

I'd gladly pay an extra R10.00 to see this happening ............ maybe organisers of events could put a R9.75 on each entry fee towards the same .......... or why not have a few people at events collecting money (donations)

Sounds far too simple for it too work.

Because all the organisers, sponsers and cycling bodies put f!@#$all back into cycling when it comes to the funriders who give the most support in rand terms with entry fees etc.

Thats why I never begrudge the cyclists who do races on race day without paying an entry fee. In fact the only reason i pay my entry fee is to get my official time for discovery vitality points, which is 5 races a year. Gone are the days that i race twice a month, I really could not be bothered supporting events that don't support the sport at our level.

PPA; CSA; CGC etc etc can all go get knotted
