I am gonna sound like a real stuck record.

But in all honesty, my Budnitz, my Niner converted to belt drive and my Ritchey are pretty much dream bikes to me, I have been on the hunt for this collection for years now.

Saying that.

We are never totally content.

This is another big dream on my list.

@Wyatt, no AM/DH bike you would like to have???

Absolutely, NO.

I like having bikes I can ride properly, I can't ride AM/DH bikes properly and don't want to become like those who have them but are simply great posers with the bike.

Explain those rims, please…is that the rim tape showing through the "cut-outs" or is it another material?

I love the blue logo - why the hell would he want to sell this?

That's the rim tape, pretty much a Surly product at this stage.

The rims get the cutouts to lighten things up.

These bikes are going to see the public soon, Specialized developed their own tires for this project.

That bike had Surly's on.

Someone mentioned that this bike is like the Surly Moonlander, clearly they only look at like for like, shows how uninformed people are to be honest.

The wheels are big, but unfortunately it's nowhere near the same bike.

Locally people also only know Surly, it's the Hoover of fatbikes here in S.A.

There is a plethora of companies doing fatbikes.

Specialized took their time on this, it's based around a 29'er geometry, that carbon fork can be stuck on a wall in a picture frame.

Getting the gold logo.

Bhahahahahhaha

Big pull towards the new bike is SRAM 22 thought. Only reason as the blue logo bike is 3 months old.

Thanks for the info!

Read an awesome feature in a recent Privateer about what a bunch of crazies in a remote American town get up to on fatbikes…

Here's a pic from the article:

Lekker pic that

I have been after a Fatbike since I learnt about the Iditabike 14 years ago.

The guys on MTBR have a lovely following and posts on these bikes.

Every time I see a pic of a fat bike only one word pops into my head. Why?

Wyatt, would would that Spesh Fatbike weigh out of interest sake ?

Would love one to ride on the beach with. I suspect anything with more than a 10 percent gradient would kill your legs !
