Well for what its worth I have also perfected the pee whilst riding skill. The next step is to take a crap while riding. Only problem is that I only have one training route in Bfn. There is a saying don't **** where you sleep... Its kinda like that....

Nothing worse than crud on your wheels

Perhaps you could apadpt the seat bottle cage?

#1 Race against yourself, especially for the ultra distance, trying to keep up with some else's pace can often lead to premature burn out.

#2 Incorporate brick sessions into your training, really makes the transitions between disciplines significantly easier.

#3 Nutrition must be tested and finalized during training, so on race day you know what you need to eat/drink. Don't try anything new (especially since there are always freebies in the entry pack, test them out on in a later training session).

Always race against someone. Make sure he is normally slower than you. Stalk him throughout the whole race. That is why we do this. When you pass that guy then air punch and be very vocal. Celebrate your victory afterwards and shout like Rocky when you go over the finish line.

Brick sessions is when you eat a wacky Wednesday

Real men don't eat during a race. Water is overrated.

Just kidding George!

You forgot to say you spit on the ground in front of him as you pass

Well since I have not competed in a triathlon event as of yet, I do not have tips what to do on race day, but to keep motivated during training, I follow triathletes (and other triathlon related pages) that inspire me on Twitter.

@bospiet - you are fortunate - you only get to do your 1st triathlon one time in your life. When the day comes, enjoy every moment. You will remember that day for the rest of your life and you will measure every other race against that one!

If I win the final prize I will either have to donate it, or donate my Midlands entry and actually do this Rockman thingy.

Obviously it will add a lot to their event if the Garf attends...

Any event without the Garf is almost like a golf major open without Tiger or Wimbledon without Federer...
