Thanks all. Please keep the advise coming.

@Caerus: What headset did you get? CWC replied to my email that they don't have any forks for these frames anymore

I'll have a look when I get home tonight and take a pic for you, they took it off from another bike, I'm not to clued up on road bike parts, but hopefully the pic will help. That's annoying for me that there are no more forks as I had asked way before the auction came about. :cursing:

this is what cwc replied to my email

"The headset is the integrated threadless headset. The BB is the standard British GXP.

We have one Ritchey headset available for you at R400 and we have several BB options available on our website, please have a look and let me know.

Thanks Straatvark. That would be awesome. What did the headset end up costing you in the end?

here is the headset - as per CWC's response: Ritchey Pro with 2 bearings 41x30.15 (45degreex45degree)

Fork 700cc, 30mm diameter

Couldn't find my Vernier this morning, but fitted some standard headset bearings in the frame.

So basically what you need is an intergrated headset Ritchey, Alerro, Cane Creek, etc. (Or normal headset , just leaving the cups out, might work)

Welcome back Billy Rae... Here in Jozi Solomon's had a lot of Deda carbon forks for a great price. I bought one for my SS road frame. Send me a pm if you want me to check there for you.

Mike, any chance you can tell me what bike/frame the hanger was made for? Maybe pictures from both sides if not fitted yet? (CWC don't have hangers, but they told me they would help searching for one if I bring the frame back in)

im not sure what frame the hanger was from..but ive been told that the scott speedster 40 is the same. will take some pics tonight and post them for you

Thanks all. Especially Flowta and Straatvark. The pictures were a serious help.

Using the measurements on Straatvark's bearings and after searching the web and doing some dodgy maths, I think I've found a headset that hopefully will work. It will also allow for a 1 1/8 steerer, which gives a better option for forks.

This is the headset I've order: http://www.buycycle.co.za/components/mtb-en/headsets-en/cane-creek-en-2-3/cane-creek-40-series-zerostack-1-1-8-headset-is41-28.6-tall-cover.html

I'll let you all know how the headset works out once I receive it.

Now, who has a nice set of carbon forks for me with a 1 1/8 steerer? :D

Nice wheels Waynehans. Literally, nice wheels. Where did you source them from? I'm keen on a wheelset like that for the other frame I bought, my single speed project (long-term project once the Marcello is up and running. Need to phase the bikes in slowly so as to not raise the missus's suspicion  )

Got these from CWC.. Tried a few places overseas. with postage and all the hassles, they would work out to expensive...

These are Retrospec wheels. Got a flip flop hub on the back, fixie or SS

Hi all

The headset I order arrived in one day (ordered at 12pm on Wednesday and was on my desk on Thursday at 11:30am). Great service from BuyCycle.

Headset is a perfect fit. Pressed straight in. Real nice seal kit on it too. Picked up a pair of forks today so can't wait to get home and assemble it. :w00t:

Will give you guys the feedback on it later. Hopefully with some pics. But anyone looking for a headset for CWC's Marcello frame that so many people bought on their crazy sales, the Cane Creek 40 Series ZeroStack 1 1/8" Headset - IS41/28.6 works perfectly.

Now need to find a Scott Speedster S40 hanger...
