Agree with you, at one stage I was riding alone, could not see any others riders in front or behind.Obviously got lost, slowed down waited for riders, but no one came. However I saw some bicycle tyre treads in the dirt, so obviously others made the same mistake, so I just rode on till I eventually joined the race again.

ditto to that, more than once!

lol, how they going to sort out the all the guys who got lost and ended doing a shorter route ?

Same scenario as Wolseley earlier this year, sadly they cant sort it out! oh well, I got a honest 17th haha! (as if it really means anything  )

Racetec are faced with this almost every week.Front 10 guys were off the front from start to finish.Different from the usual where a middle pack rider bails and then still crosses the mat half hour ahead of everyone. At the end of the day it's not real racing but a fun ride so no one really cares. :whistling:

Are only PPA members names on the results list? If so why did I pay the extra R20 for my entry? My chip definitely went "peep"

Oh & well done to the dipshit wearing black ASG kit talking on his phone while entering one of the last single tracks & then basically crashed on to me... Idiot!!

Ok, maybe a bit more mud than I anticipated! Was still a great/tuff 45km. Front eight guys managed to miss a marker or two and ended up doing 36km's, so don't feel bad when you see the winning times compared to yours! Hehe! 45km took me 2h44mins

So what was the actual winning time?

I don't think we'll ever know, last years winner came in at 2h20, in much better conditions than today, so I presume winning time should be around the 2h20 mark,..

First half of the race was good, long long climb. But after that they ran out of ideas or something as the route was extremely boring, and again the 15km kiddies route merging with the longer routes caused a lot of problems. I dont mind being held up or taking a different line but these kids are gonna cause a big accident soon, and I dont want to be responsible for hurting a child in a crash. Nice weather, loads and loads of mud, brand new bike, first race with it and its allready in need of a service. Now lets watch some rugby.

That is what you get when cycling round the block. You should have done the Cederberg 115 km race today. F^&*&* serious stuff.
