ichnusa Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 My wife has a 2012 Fox TALAS and it is creaking from the crown/stanchion bond... Any solutions or experience? I have tried leaving the bike upside down overnight with WD40 to "penetrate" - but alas... nada!
droo Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 Dust and gunk can get in between the two parts and cause creaking. Not much to be done about it AFAIK. JB, your phone's ringing...
V12man Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 IF it actually creaks there, then something is moving - and it should not be - which might very well become a safety issue shortly... Take it to someone who knows what they are doing - I would have it with Mike at Mikes bikes in a flash... JB being further away than Mike for me.
Bat-ass Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 (edited) Iv had a fox and a rockshok fork warranty crown / stanctions swopped for that before.... and teh replacement ones eventually started the same creaking after about 6 months or so. Given up now.... Edited September 6, 2013 by Bat-ass
