The guys at Huddle have provided us with a SAFE and SECURE alternative to Modderfontein which is, to most of us, significantly more convenient. If we all had time to go to Modderfontein during the week, we would. But it is unarguably convenient having a 10km (and probably more soon) track on our doorstep, including the luxuries of a parking lot, restaurant, bike wash and a SAFE family orientated environment. Obviously it will never provide the distances that are offered at Modderfontein (made up of a few farms), but this is a beautiful golf course environment in the middle of Linksfield surrounded by many amenities - not to mention the obvious savings on fuel getting to the this location. The current guys in charge of the track have also made significant improvements to the old track of early 2015 and have built 2 top quality pump tracks which are not commonly found around town. Is R50 really SO steep ?Yes. You have implemented a 150% increase, in hard times. People will balk at that. If you want to pop in to do a quick loop, you are now paying R5/km. It's too much, and becomes cost prohibitive if you wanna do this 2 or 3 times a week. Especially, if your'e a youngster who has to wheedle this money out of his or her Mom - your'e effectively excluding teenagers, and insentivising them to rogue ride. Please can we settle on say R30. ? I would also happily pay R600 for a 12 month season ticket. Ps: I am not discounting that Huddle is a safe, secure and convenient gem. But, the track is just too short to justify comparison with Modderfontein. If you elongate the track to 25km, not by repeats on the same space, but by expanding single track to the northern side of the course where you could incorporate some nice climbing, there might possibly be value at R50. In the meantime, while we negotiate the final price, can I suggest that you throw in a free cuppacino for the 50? I feel that this would be a big draw card. Thank you for engaging.

Cost - like PWC Who charge between R50-R70 depending on day/time for just a few kms of trails but they have all the other tracks - then have a membership fee and a monthly pass fee - for what I would use the trails for - it's costly - but their price structure and offering obviously works - that place is always packed over weekends and for the after school run, seems huddle park is wanting to follow that route. Their hours don't suit me for a pre or after work ride so a regular quickie would be out of the question - and on weekends I'd mostly want to do a bit longer ride so I doubt I'll be a regular even if it's 2km down the road. Some of it was good, but mostly - I felt the R20 was too much. But that's me. Seen some good comments lately - like yours - so will give it a bash again. R50 seems steep though for such a short ride. Modderfontein is about the same distance from me, and I feel the R50 is much better spent there.If however the improvements are as good as they seem to be, the R50 may just be worth it. Will make a plan to go check it out.
