Options, shock not clearing downtube

Im looking for an external reducer (maybe with angle adjust) headset. I have a reducer headset, but need spacing between headtube and shock crown, so that fork can clear downtube. My lyrik hits downtube on Intense 6.6.

If anyone knows of anything that may help??

Was looking at these options:

CRC seems to be the most vialble option:

http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/za/en/nukeproof-warhead-49iets-headset-2012/rp-prod55508

But would really like this headset:

http://www.workscomponents.co.uk/15-degree-zs49---ec49---traditional-15-reducer-headset---external-lower-heacup-175-p.asp

(still waiting to hear from them, if they can ship to SA)

Also willing to trade+cash diff, as I have a normal Canecreek internal headset.

What headtube and steerer do you have? Might have something

Cane creek angle set maybe. Don't know if it will work if you're using 1 1/8 to 1.5 adapter though.

$$$...

Ok then...

How about some steerer spacers, but put them on the bottom of the steerer and then put the crown race on top of them.....

Should work a treat :whistling: :whistling:

Lol... I know ChrisKing has something like that, but I'd rather not, Im pretty big and land even harder, haha

As for swopping... I love the feel of the lyric after the ugrade, the damping Insane, yet to bottom shock and its ultra soft for the small stuff.

Think Im going to try the nukeProof option, R300 that might just save shock!

Not bored, it is an excellent fork, just feeling fat and slow so was thinking a slightly lighter fork might help

An I know why as a certain, let's call him a gentleman for all intensive purposes, is coming to see a little black and blue frame of yours....don't worry I don't ask/take commission!

uh i assume by shock you mean fork?

they are very different things you know, if your shock has a problem with clearance of the downtube thanks to the headset your frame is broken or the shock is in the wrong place.
