I was in BL and first that idiot cop that made us go the wrong way.then as I went along with the front bunch all good and well and there between those rockey side someone decided to pull breakers and I lost it and went into the ditch doing mtb almost to a eina fatal crash.thanx to my mtb skills I kept it.unfortunately I lost the group and tried all the way to catch them but failed.I was riding solo all the way and got view people on the way but they fell out.the last video km I pick a old oom on a gorgeous pinarello and got him behind me.was a gr8 race but hard work.I did it 2 57 which I think is good for riding solo for almost 80km.

and thumbs up for the disco guy playing music in the bunch BL.

Congrats Morne..80km solo and managing a sub 3 is brilliant boet.

Eventually back on air again, after being in crash close to the end. Thanks to the ER24 paramedics and Cycleworld guys assisting me. Heard from my wife about the help as I did not know about it.

Actually not suposed to look at computer screen according to the doc due to concussion. My helmet is broken in pieces after my head broke my fall. Just a reminder about the importance of wearing that helmet.

Luckily nothing broken. Will still see what the doctors bill will be, but had nice race. Improved on my time from last year.

Lost about 5 min with the fall but broke 2h45 so not unhappy.

Happy the vibe is mostly positive even after few crashes. We will need to see what can be done to get those chevron boards in a straight line next year.

A friend drove the route the weekend before and fixed 99% of the road but some spots were missed although very few.

See you guys next year.

I was more than 30 minutes slower in the OFM (starting in AL) than in the 94.7 (starting in B ) last year :)

Thank you! It gives me some idea what to expect.

I think the 10H00 start on the 94.7 might be a problem.

Glad you are ok and still an amazing time! Did you crash into a chevron or was it a racing incident?

Another guy hit the chevron. Fell in front of me. Never even touched the brakes, went over the handlebars and apparently broke my fall with my head.

If I did not had a helmet on I would not be typing this today.
