Apparently some dude that finished in front group of C bunch swore and wanted to moer a VERY experienced lady rider cause she didnt keep her line in the gutter! Does this dude really expect you to ride straight if you're fighting for your life in the gutter. And later a Mr C also verbally abused the girls in the front group, Erica Green, Hanlie Booyens and Jane Seggie.

I'm sorry dudes, but they are good, experienced riders.

And you're riding for 100th place!

Then again it is amazing what people in races expect you to do. I mean if I'm racing I don't HAVE to let someone in and yet some girls get very irrate if i don't bow down to their will.

So maybe we need to hear both sides of the story!!

I say that's a very "no-class" thing to do.

Same at Emperor's last week except this fella in 500th place was shouting without any gender bias to the shorter route riders "keep the @$!!* left" at an impressive volume from long distance.

T'was embarrassing I tell you.

That's disgusting.  Why is it that some male cyclists (luckily only the minority) have no respect for female cyclists?

I have had similar experiences - in the G bunch!  There is no excuse for losing one's temper but if the person isn't even racing competitively (ie. in the league) it's a funride!  Emphasis on fun!

nope, only the 3 mentioned. Its someone that finished in front 20 of C bunch. Maybe a mr wayne roberts, not sure. The other one could be Cooper. Not sure either.

I wonder....I think the least people go to these races for "fun". They go to race and suffer and get high on adrenaline. And that's when some people tick out.

For fun you take your bike and do a nice ride with friends!

The swearing person was behind Erica, he wanted her to keep a straight line when she is in the gutter. You just follow the rider in front of you. I dont think he's competed in the Olympic Games road race like she did. So she should know more about bunch racing.

I still think that if you want to race - race in the league, don't spoil the funride for the funriders.  But maybe the people that I had to endure don't qualify for league - which explains why they are bitter and therefore angry...

I don't think that swearing at other riders is acceptable at any level of riding, whether you are just out to have a fun ride or race competitively.  All it does is build up tension between riders and ruin a good morning.

That person should make sure he is not riding next to me in a race. I WILL knock him off his bike or wait untill the end of a race and ask him to repeat what he said. These type of people (a.....holes) DO NOT belong in our sport!!!!!!!!Angry
