'Rotor's BSA30 bottom bracket allows the installation of our 3D+ BB30 cranks into a standard, threaded bottom-bracket.'

I would just wonder about that statement for that converter but that's just me

Statement is 100% correct. Bearings are now OUTBOARD (ie not in BB cup) there fore a 30mm axle easily fits through a BSA BB-cup... The BB30 convertor basically screws into a BSA BB cup.

Thanks for the clarification Naas!

I just wondered if by that they meant only for 'their Rotor 3D+ BB30 cranks' but I guess not .....

Theirs work 100% and any other crank will work as well PROVIDED that the axle length is long enough. Remember you basically have 2 extra bearing width "spacers"on the outside of the BB-shell...

Still wrong, A BB30 has an axle length of 680mm, your standard threaded BB shell is also 68mm. You cannot fit a BB30 into a standard BB shell, no adapter for this. (As you mentioned about axle length)

The adapter you are selling is in essence for an evo BB386, these have longer axles (86mm hence the 86 in 386). All of the rotor cranks have 860mm axles, they use spacers/lock rings to make it fit a BB30.

Cervelo is the company that started now with the evo BB386.

Just delete a zero off those mm!

correct - Zipp also has this option available with their BB30 cranks, but it also has a longer axle which requires spacers when used with a regular BB30 bearings.

Read my posts again think there might be confusion - if your AXLE lengths are long enough it will fit INTO a BSA BB with a BB30 adapter - which is what the OP asked. So if your BB30 crank has a normal axle it won't fit. If however you have a BB30 Crankset with a longer axle(ROTOR,FSA etc )they will fit into a BSA BB using a BB30 convertor...
