Hahaha..... Dude, I have rigid forks on 5 of my mountain bikes and still have the same set of wrists (plus a few titanium extras) I was born with. If you really pick your lines, put the front end of the bike in all the right places and really manage the bike and the trail properly they are amazing.... If you just point your front down the trail and expect the bike to do the work like you would with suspension, the, well, there is no help for you or your wrists!
