Soda Blasting

I'm looking for someone in PTA that can do soda blasting on aluminium.

Have no idea, but I assume you want to strip a frame?

Consider Plascon RemoveAll. Wont damage the alu, or even wood for that matter.

Brush on, pressure spray off....

Even better results if left in refuse back for a few hours.

Plastic bead blasting gives a nice finish on aluminium - but it would be best to have them re-anodised afterwards - and I am sure the anodiser would be able to clean them up perfectly.

 

The other thing you could try if you just want to remove paint is a grinding cup - like a super heavy duty wire wheel, fits on an angle grinder - remember to wear eye protection when using it.... and hand protection too...

 

The grinding cup leaves a fairly regular scratch to aluminium - so you might be ok with the finish it leaves.

I had my alu frame bead blasted in the East Rondt. Worked a treat. Let me know if you do not come right and I can find their details.
