PS a bit of background on the conundrum:

The 2012 105 model was the wrong size, bike shop got it wrong....but I do have an option on a 2013 frameset. What this would mean is I can then cherry pick exactly what I want on the bike and do build over time.

The 2014 caad 105's are listed everywhere for 21000. So if I had to go with the 2013 frame option I could probably come in at the same price but with a better specced machine and also retaining my frame warrantee

What would you fellas do?

Routjie as there is no difference in the frame I would take the 2013 Frame and build a killer machine !!

Agreed, I would buy the framset and build up with Ultegra or something similar.

Nice thing with this option is you can get the best possible wheels that would suit you.

Normally bikes in that range come with entry to mid range wheels.

Thanks manne, was my thinking as well...get the frame and fork, and slowly slowly catch the monkey.

hehhehe if only....can hardly do it on mtb, nevermind road.

Gonna be lekker building it up, also will be easier on the wallet...just finding out two things.

1. Will omnico honour cannondale warrantee seeing as though I will be the first owner and the frameset is coming from them.

2. Which color scheme it is.

I bought a new MTB frameset a while ago and it had the tags and original documentation and I registered it online with Cannondale no problem

21k is a bit out of my budget to be totally honest. So looking around still.

yip - keep looking around, get someone to give you a good deal on a 2013 - with all the 2014`s arriving maybe you can organise something.

Yea that is what I am hoping and pushing for, phoning all the lbs, maybe someone has a 2012 / 2013 on the floor that they are willing to part with. I will consider secondhand but it needs to be a good deal.
